A Sandwiched Country – Finland

Hugely influenced by Sweden and Russia for centuries, the country has developed its own character; Finland has proved serving something more than Nokia, berries and lakes.

From its lake area at the East, named Saimaa, which is less than 100 miles towards St. Petersburg, the city Mikkeli carries a rich military history on its fighting on ideology, independence and democracy.

Right seated at the middle, Tampere had earned the reputation of Nordic Glasgow, where a lot of factories were running. Also the place Lenin and Stalin started the campaign which changed the world.

Now it is a solid playground for arts development.

The fortress along the west coast, traditional town Turku was guarding foreign invasion from the East since 1200. Apart from Aland, Turku is one of the very Swedish city sitting at Finland soil.
